Formation of the Guild

St Swithun's East Grinstead have published scanned copies of all their parish magazines since the mid 19th century (see https://swithun.org.uk/blog/82699). The Guild was actually formed at a meeting in St Swithun's curate's house in 1927 and the magazine for July that year included an account of the inaugural meeting of the Guild (see below). Thanks to Robert Everest for bringing this to our attention.
