The Way Forward after Covid

Now that most ringing restrictions have been lifted the Guild's Committee will be meeting in the near future to discuss the way forward for Guild Meetings

Helen has recently abseiled down Canonleigh Falls (on the edge of Dartmoor) sponsored in aid of Cats Protection. If anyone would like to sponsor Helen this can still be done via the Just Giving website.

Formation of the Guild

St Swithun's East Grinstead have recently published scanned copies of all their parish magazines since the mid 19th century (see https://swithun.org.uk/blog/82699). The Guild was actually formed at a meeting in St Swithun's curate's house in 1927 and the magazine for July that year included an account of the inaugural meeting of the Guild (see below). Thanks to Robert Everest for bringing this to our attention.
