About Us

The East Grinstead and District Guild of Church Bell Ringers was formed in 1927, and includes towers situated within a radius of 16 miles (25 km) of East Grinstead.

There are 92 towers with 3 or more bells within this area.  All the towers fall within one of the following associations:

Members of the Guild generally meet on the second Saturday of each month (with the exception of May, when there is no meeting so as not to clash with the Surrey and Sussex Association AGMs).  The July meeting usually takes the form of an outing for the day.   The Annual General Meeting is held in March with ringing in the afternoon followed by a ringers' tea and thereafter the business meeting.

Monthly meetings usually take place in the mornings during the late autumn andwinter months, and afternoons in the spring, summer and early autumn months.  Click here to see a list of upcoming events.

All ringers of all abilities are welcome to join us at our meetings (but please note that we do not teach bell handling, nor do we provide training events).
